What is Public Engagement?
Public Engagement is the term used in Universities to describe ways that Higher Education Institutions connect with the outside world. The University of Huddersfield's Public Engagement Strategy, has more information about what we mean by public engagement and our four priorities. For more context please read our Knowledge Exchange Strategy.
Public Engagement at Huddersfield
The University recognises that engagement happens in different ways throughout the organisation, and has prioritised work to share good practice and bring people together. The central function that oversees this area at the University is the University Knowledge Exchange Group. For more information about UKEG, or how Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange supports engagement please contact Dave Smith, Public Engagement Manager.
