If you’re going through a difficult time and you’d like to know what support is available, a Staff Wellbeing 121 chat appointment could help. During the appointment, one of our team members will listen and signpost (tell you about) the support and resources available here at the University of Huddersfield and outside the organisation.
Whilst we’re not trained counsellors, Occupational Health or health professionals and as such cannot offer counselling, professional advice or diagnoses, we can signpost you to such professional support including our confidential staff counselling service, Occupational Health, HR managers and external organisations.
Appointments are available between 9:30am and 4pm Monday to Friday and will take place either in our staff wellbeing office (SB9/07G) on floor 9 of the Schwann Building or online via Microsoft Teams.
To book an appointment, please email staff.wellbeing@hud.ac.uk
Please note that these appointments are not strictly confidential. Some details including your name and any agreed actions / outcomes from the discussion will be recorded and securely stored.
Please also note that this is not a counselling session, or immediate crisis support. If you are in need of mental health crisis support, for example you’re having suicidal thoughts, we will refer you immediately to a trained professional such as:
