Welcome to the HR People and Organisational Development webpages.
These pages have been designed to help you easily navigate and explore the wide range of learning and organisational development opportunities available to you.
In today’s rapidly evolving Higher Education environment, continuous learning is not just valuable, it is essential.
As part of our ambitious 2030 University Strategy, the Global Talent strand plays a critical role in achieving our goals by focusing on engagement and professional development.
The HR People and Organisational Development team is here to support you in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to succeed now and in the future. Their provision is designed to align with both your career aspirations and our University’s evolving needs. Courses and programmes are delivered in accessible and inclusive formats, whether in-person, online, or self-directed, ensuring that everyone can benefit, regardless of working patterns or learning preferences.
Beyond individual development, the team offers a strategic approach to Organisational Development. This involves aligning people, processes, and culture with our institutional aspirations to create an inclusive, high-performing, and resilient University. Examples of initiatives include onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, organisational culture, coaching and mentoring, team development, and wellbeing, helping us adapt to change and achieve long-term success.
Our management and leadership development offering, delivered in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), is sector leading. We are working towards an ambitious goal: 100% of our leaders and managers being awarded Chartered Manager status, making us the only organisation in the world to do so.
As part of our innovative and progressive University, the HR People and Organisational Development team will continue to ensure our provision reflects the latest thinking and best practice. I encourage you to take full advantage of these opportunities. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please contact the team, they are here to help.
